  • So what about South Africa

The crown of Africa.....what does it have to offer....many many experiences....not just hunting...like how i heard

that,...American come for game hunting...see in SA...they call it culling...which is fine.....but the way the Afrikans were putting it....these people come for trophies....shoot down a caged lion...and worst... not knowing it was caged....

the trouble seems to never go away in Africa...it seems like a lost jungle.... in many peoples mind...it still is the African jungle......

.the cabby i told you about... Issac..was laughing at all the prejudice done to him and all his family...and yet

... he was still in the present...concerned for his daughter who was a going the wrong way...drugs...

he told me...all this while he was driving me...to Dove's Nest....that people were kept in townships....like one village...you cannot go and relocate..cannot marry outside...not seen in other townships at night and..

certainly not in town...if you don't have a night pass.....only night workers have a night pass.....you will arrested....he was arrested once..for being in the wrong house....in the same street...his brother's house.....

there was a word which he said..it was the Buss or some word..that was what was taught in school...for blacks...just to obey commands...and orders....

not too much thinking..and those who did and can study...when on to study..but ended up doing menial work.....my ...my.....

I ended up having coffee with him, after reaching Dove's Nest....it was nice...

that night...I had a different view...

this time I was with some Afrikans...they were Afrikans..a difference they are proud of from the British.....

they have their own...problems albeit being white...both these 2 groups.....that's africa..for anyone who thinks it's only white and black......

they were nice young blokes....brendt...and louie...

    they knew...

and when in a discussion brendt...did say...we were thaught what to do and we we told to do it this way.....what can we do....

I saw his sincerity....i knew then...it was hard for the country...it will or might take another 2 to 3 generation to lose the hate...to mingle as one....

I liked those guys for another reason..they said they don't intend to move.....it was nice to see people care..for their country...altough..much is against them.....

there aren't many white people on the city these days....too afraid to go or just don't have any biusiness there.....

this was another cabby...see i went on a tour to constitution hill and around Jo'burg.....saw where ghandi was incacerated...and the rest of my Indians....all wearing coats tough....

Many people might think only about the aparthied era....but i hope some would want to look at the future for South Africa.....and think how to reconcile...

It's in sambbles...so many people are broken.....they need mending.....only time can perhaps mend them or maybe another person like Mandela can too.....

It is time to wake up for the blacks.....they have their freedom...it is time for them to build...a nation..not making the same mistakes....

for the whites to get it right, trusting....the blacks....it's a long road ahead.....

  • The Beauty of Sothern Africa

I went to Zambia straight from Jo'burg. It was a pleasant airport but people have warned me and also the internet. The things which goes on in Jo'burg.

I will tell you later about the 2 days I spent there and the differing views of Black & White people, there were Indians too.but no views from them tough.

Zambia, Lusaka was a very interesting place, people always say that they are peaceful and they do mean it.
They are a bunch of nice people, like everywhere.

It was a modern place...things were changing...i guess economy was good....people were richer...and things were alot more expensive..perhaps it was the city..but things were expensive....

the electricity conservation...for the whole of Zambia...how people took it in their strides, without complaining was nice to see....

the frequent talk about doing this and that for the people...the villages..the peoples education and also many..many,,,construtive critism..in the newspapers...about the welfare of Zambians....

It was good to see...people educated...smart...knowing what was happening in their enviroment...and culture...they knew their political situation...

they knew where they were heading....most people know their strides as well....i mean....they were coping...but things were expensive...my fried Hendy was complining that it was exploitation....

where isn't exploitation...talk about Singapore....however,....these people knew their direction...it won't be easy to misguide them and derail this country...

that is how i felt about this fine, beautiful country....nice place..should head to the victoria falls.....which i didn't...i was busy...

I took a bus...from Lusaka to Jo'burg..had to cut throught Zim...land of Mugabe...yap....that was it....

gone...that's what most Zambians said in the bus...people were coming to Lusaka to buy things...

their billion dollar notes were nothing...yes

again..have you ever seen a billion dollar note which has an expiry date on it...try getting some it will create a good laugh....

We got stopped by coppers, what else they wanted.... money...

we were impounded that's what the cops told the bus driver with the people inside....

Zambians inside were laughing...all knew too well.....then... as said we were released after some drink money was given....

Next to Jo'burg...but i must tell you about the night sky..where we stopped to piss....

    The milky way...that's what i saw...so nicely..seen in the dark....my..what a slight..

I live too much in the city....and went wow...

when you get to see the beautiful stars...real.....jewels...so far out...and yet always makes you wonder....

Then Jo'burg.....a different story altogather...i was on gaurd...

the taxi driver...whom Chloa...got for me....

this was Henry's friends....he has friend's everywhere....i do mean it...we can't walk on the streets of Lusaka, without someone saying hi to him.....

so chola gets me a cab driver...we go to his place Dove's Nest in Kempton Park...ran by Mari and gaby....they are white folks...

I stress white and black..because it is White and Black...in SA....

while in the cab...i was still keeping my guard....not talking too much...then when i saw that we were heading in the right direction...then

    I stared conversing with Issac...the cabby....an old man...very graceful....

Like the one from Driving Miss Daisy...not Morgan Freemen...he can't drive...got into an accident lately...hehee...but he's fine....

so we speak...i ask him what is the story.....aparthied......my..my

tired now wanna go eat...will cont,,,,,soon....give me an hour....so

  • I Know I don't write as much

Work.....something you would have never imagined was so bad....especially,,,,when you were young...seeing your parents or perhaps your Dad...the way they rush off.... to do something so very important...

you actually...think you want to go to work...sooner then later.....you want to get involved in sloving the worlds problems.....

All this when you were young...a small kid...

Now after school...you wonder ...what the hell....what is my job...well....sure I had my ideas....all the way to uni..makes you want to go conquer the coporate world..be the next Bill Gates....make the most important desicions.....to feel...the power....the coporate power....

Man...nohing like that in the real world....it is routine...you wait for a long.... long time for some idiot to make a decision on something small....

even then it might not be favourable to you nor your company....that's the real world.....

I am doing a wonderful job now...I feel like I don't work....at all.....but my job is just as important as yours or any...it still feeds me and pays my bills....

I organise football tournaments and games...How about that.....

Before you go dreaming....wait....I just started ...it's hard....real hard when you have unenthusiatic..pricks....on the other end...

Therefore, on the side...i give tuitions.....to students..that's for my daily expendiures...so I don't go broke...so much for education it still does help......my students do get distinctions...mind you....just implying I am a good tutor...hehe

On the whole..I notice people are pricks...given a posiion of power to decide..they want to play with you...and guess what...small timers like me suffer and still have to play it cool......

    Anyway....just got a deal...to organise a game....in India...hope that one's a success...will be.... I am sure....just need to be a little lucky and play a powerful prick.....so people would believe that I am somebody. A really, really powerful.....somebody.....

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutly...lord acton.

Even if I am...I wouldn't feel it here...that's the beauty of blogging....so long folks...have good time...
    going off to SA tommorow...AFRICA....

    adious....

  • TIBET

Have been watching the recent developments about the Olyympic torch relays.....really some good stuff.....

I couldn't decide on a stand earlier because; i honestly had not much clue on Tibet...so I found some stuff started reading and I think have made my conclusion.....

If the torch comes around ...I WILL BOO........China has really done some great stuff to TIBET..over the colonised years...I say colonised because...It was and is....

They built infrastrutures and etc...however...the people feel that the Chinese have taken over their cultural freedom.....mind you China is communist. They don't have a relegion....therefore; the desire to culturally transform the Tibetians....However....

The tibetian ways are different....and so the riots.....

China i see is behaving funny....dodgy to an extend,...see before; during Moa's time they actually invited the Dalai Lama over to Beijing...now they apparently don't even want to speak to him...have a dialogue....this is truly strange.....

Why such a stance; when you know you have done nothing wrong...anyway why would tibetians riot if life was so good under their liberalised rule...WHY...the question still remains to be answered.....

I saw a documentary on Tibet done by some French production house...on the history and found some interesting stuff....The Story of Tragedy. This is on You Tube as well.....

This documentary gives us a glimpse of what took place during the time and annexsation of Tibet....how tibetians lived and died during the times.....was pretty informative....and sad...

Then I saw; another on why Tibet belongs to China.....all the rhetoric about Aussie's should leave Australian and crap like that...and Americans too....for capturing native land...then the silly maps my 8 year old niece can draw.....to rewrite history ....

the person....clearly is a China propaganda artist hired by the Chinese govt to put such things up to show that They are right too.....

It is amazing how China have put themselves in a shitty situation like this...they will proberbly react very angrily towards the Dalai Lama and the Tibetian,,,,,,,,,who ever they can get their hands on....

For now it is a great face loss to them....for screwing up something...they thought will never haunt them.....

However.....I hope freedom prevails eventually for the tibetians....Peace be with them......poor people......

So remember to invovle politics with sports.....because...we really don't get much oppotunities to voice out certain concerns ...Do we....especially in China......

  • FITNA:THE Intoxicating Dutch VIDEO

The video was pretty good...a little lesson on the Koran.....the verses...amazing...I thought....the call for following...and death for non-followers...

the way.... death... must occur for non-followers even more amazing......
    ....
I don't see much intolerance..just opinions and information... unlike what some people might call this video....I liked the part where they ..tear off the pages to tell people that the verses are not quite right for our time and age....and they did say it was the phone book....now no disrespect there as well.....

What about the rest....the beheading...plane crash--aka 911.....madrid bombings..the kid talking about Jews....the throwing away of gays from tall buildings..mmmmm.....haha...no just joking....all have happened.....and it is like that...people wanting to hate....

this is growing...THE HATE that is.....between the muslims and the others...all of them have several reasons.....of course....but coming back to the video.....

It was ok....except for one part where they mention..... STOP ISLAMISATION....

now that i don't agree...what we should be stopping is radical islamisation.....that sould be put to a stop....there was alot of clips on radical islamic messages....by the way.....

That is what should be addressed.....and these guys who did the video....i don't think...they were against the religion but just the bad parts...the killings of people who don't follow their religion.....now i am not sure if that is what is in the Koran text...cos i haven't read it yet...if that's what it says then it is worrying .......

.........Well done guys for ,making that video.....

Singapore's DPM....the home Affairs minister has condemned the video...saying that people in Singapore are tolerant...which is true to an extend but if the religion says and if it is in the text...i'll be damn....are they or will they follow it.....

well i don't think so...but Mas Selemat sure wants to ...he is the terrorist which the ISD...internal security dept let slip...and he is yet to be found or caught....he is..or rather was kept in detention without trail...so he got bored and he escaped....

he is yet to be found......it has been a month now...apparently...he is still in the jungles.....cos the authorites are afraid to say that he might have some outside help.....

now after combing the whole of small Singapore's jungles......he can't be found...so he must have a safe house...who is it...where is it....no boby knows ....

so what was the ISD doing all these years keeping him in and not knowing what he would do if he escaped...troubling...troubling questions and no answers.......

IS THERE A SAFE HOUSE.....if yes....why was it not discovered...why ....weren't these people caught earlier.....why don't they know...what will happen if he gets his hands on GOD knows what to take revenge......WHAT WERE THESE DICKHEADS IN THE ISD DOING>>>>>>>>

well for one...proberbly watching the opposition more then the terrorist threat.....

  • Crisis..Crisis & more Crisis

It seems like that there will be bad news and more.... bad news hitting us from every corner. Partly that is the media's job to keep us checked. To make all the bad news known. If you noticed. I guess that is journalism.

Now we have the Tibetian crisis.....see the Tibetian's apparently paid homeage to the dynasty's since those days and now China afer the dynasties have taken over their country. In the name of liberation in 1951.

I for one totally believe hat Tibet should be free.....They must be a free contry because the chinese culture is so different from the Tibetians....

The Tibetians are pissed with the chinese people moving into their territory and taking over all economic activities...now things must have boiled over and shit has hit the roof....

One reason this happened is because...China just wants to get moving regardless of it's problems....their(politicians) believe...make everybody rich...economically viable and then see what they have to say about us.....however.....they forget to realise..who they are doing good for.....which group.....

Given this situation...if Tibet is figthing for it's survival....
    not just independence........
then..more Chinese might want to get involved to raise their concerns...cos there are many issues.....like land and health and education which are overhauled in Chaina....and some people are not in the bandwagon....

will this problem bring more unrest over China...
    yet to see....

The Dalai Lama speaks of cultural genocide in Tibet.....something deep...

I know this is a difficult situation for all....cos of China's prominence in the world and all...but....other countries must take notice and bring China along the lines...this is a great opportunity to bring China along the proper way meaning proper reconcilatory procedures .

We must remember what China is capable of Tiananmen remember...running tanks over univrsity students....

I think western govts are too afraid to piss China off...thus just making lame remarks...thanks to Gordon...he is at least meeting the Lama....

I hope things will work out fine...cos China usually kills first then talks ....for such cases......

Anyway Mas Selemat the detained terrorist who escape is still at large...in Singapore apparently....

  • Internal Security

Forget about the pictures, I said I'll uplaod....Now there is serious trouble...

Singapore just lost the mastermind terrorist of JI...Jemah Islamiyah...they call themselves..and do all the stuff terrorist do.....These guys were the one who did that horrendous bombing in BALI...real SOB's to hit a tourist spot....

Now how, this escape occured is everyone's guess and anyone's imagination....he apparently took off before a family visit
he wanted to take a piss....and ran away...

He was apprehened by the Indonesian police and extradited to Singapore...now this escape from the most tightest security prison or they call it a detention center.
    It is underground and blah..blah...blah....

anyway the gist of the matter HE ESCAPED....after 2 years in custody....search is seriously ongoing....he is believed to hiding in the jungles or something...I think a mastermind would maybe have done better.....left the country by now or has a safe house....

Now i read several Singapore blogs...my favourite Molly Meek...gave a small sacarstic comparison on how the Singapore police have been working so far.....

A communist ....in those days Malaya had communist...this guy named Lee Chye Poh or something has been detained in Singapore for more then 23years..yes longer then Mandela....in Singapore....he was kept everywhere from Sentosa to Changi prison....

he never managed to do a runner.....cos he was a threat to the Singapore government ....kept closly guarded

Then recently ...a chap who did a scandal in a charity organisation(NKF)....Richard Yong...he was declared a bankrupt...however he managed to leave the country and was caught in HK...for he had money....

But Dr Chee Soon Juan a political opposition was stopped at the airport and caught for leaving without permission....he was also a bankrupt...

Then there was a murder suspect who just walked away...Took...his name....until he himself surrendered to the Malaysian police in Penang, Malaysia.

But James Gomez was taken for questioning at the airport..when he was supposed to go to Sweden for work....James is another opposition candidate during the last election.......

Looks like Singapore's Police is working more for the PAP party then anything.....

The relationship is something I can't imagine...you let dangeropus people walk....and catch hold of oppositions in politics....

my ....my....I wonder why they are pulling in good money as salaries...when they work lkike this....

During the recent IMF meeting...Ms Chee another opposition was not even allowed to go for dinner at the hotel the meeting was held....she was stopped and taken away and relaeased in another place.....but somehow security seems to be all for different reasons....

Now it is apparent in comparison to these cases......

  • Yes, I was away

Wow...I went around half the world....1st trip to Europe and guess where...Amsterdam....capital of Ganja...and I never smoked cos the law in Singapore land doesn't allow you to smoke overseas, even if it is legal..and return to Singapore...

If they check your urine and find that you have consumed drugs, hard or soft...they will soften you with a good 18 months sentence....No JOKE...

Well, saw some good stuff like Northern Lights, and all the Hasish..from Afgan to Nepal....by the way I have been to Nepal, Katmandu too...mmm and I must say, the place I would like to visit again....

Anyway...transited in Amsterdam....and then went off to Africa....Ghana...a country which has nice people.....but poverty stricken....and polluted it was that bad in Accra.....got some nice pictures...I will certainly put it up for you all to see.....

overall....the year 2007 was a good year for me...did alot of travelling....

    1st trip to India...Bombay, then Goa..Madras...
then came Iran....Tehran....don't believe what you hear in the media....the people are so friendly...and they speak English.... it is their 2nd language in school....

Amazing sights, when I close my eyes i can still picture the mountain outside my hotel window....by the way ....must inform you all, of Majid a class chap...and the hospitality you get from the poeple....it is just wonderful...

In Bombay, trust me I felt, they might rob me...but in Iran...i just felt safe...mind you I am Indian...

Then came a trip to China...Shanghai...I have travelled at 474km/p in a train..wow....that was fast....Welcome To China.....

their only setback..... i see presently is that they are not proficient in English but give them another 10 years...they will be good...nice people too...I was more like an exhibit...cos of my skin colour ....old ladies started waving....I guess they have never seen a dark skinned guy...hehehe It was really fun...and things were cheap...

I would like to import their Snow Beer...mmmmm nice and cheap what else can I ask for....yaya..the belly got a little bigger..I had to work out but to no avail...

Then it was Nepal...mmmmm my my can you imagine Nepal has a striptease join...hehe no joke...that was all fun...and they were Indian girls...arhhhhh I know... I sound like sex trooper...no..... you just don't understand the conservative culture of indians...that place is magic...not the strip join...NEPAL...got to go again....but katmandu roads were super polluted....

then it was Doha...then Oman...Muscat...I went during the Ramadan month they were fasting.....I got stuck without food while leaving and had to fast too...it really wasn't easily.....so respect the Muslims.. .... when the fast...

Then it was Thailand...been there upteen number of times...then again Goa....then..this year begining was Amsterdam..the poor trip where I had to breathe 2nd hand smoke...arhhhh

    then ghana, accra.....

life at it's best...and I don't have to pay for all this, it's company covered...and I choose the 5 star hotels which suck....especially the food everywhere...I just love home cooked food.....

talking about it, I am hungry..my mum has cooked something nice...better run...adious...don't miss me too much...next time i will put up some pictures..of all the scenes I have shot....adious...amigoes and amigas.....

  • Seedy, Shady, Singapore

Several firms on US Myanmar blacklist linked to Singapore
Three companies with strong links to Singapore are among seven firms blacklisted by the United States under fresh sanctions against Myanmar after its deadly suppression of pro-democracy protests.

According to President George W. Bush's order the companies which are either based in or linked to Singapore are: Pavo Trading Pte Ltd, Air Bagan Holdings Pte Ltd and Htoo Wood Products Pte Ltd, which is also listed as being from Myanmar's main city, Yangon.

The sanctions were announced Friday and are designed to target organisations with ties to Myanmar's ruling junta in the hope it will pile more pressure on the regime.

"It's about time the US did something like this," said Dave Mathieson, a consultant on Myanmar to Human Rights Watch in Bangkok.

He said the sanctions "actually go after the money" of the junta, adding they also served as a "wake-up call" for Singapore.

Also named is Air Bagan Ltd of Myanmar, which last month made Singapore its second international destination. The airline's chairman, Tay Za, arrived on the first flight.

Tay Za has "very, very strong links to the junta," said Sean Turnell, an economics professor who specialises in Myanmar at Australia's Macquarie University.

Tay Za is not among 11 individuals named by Bush as senior regime officials in Myanmar who are also subject to the fresh sanctions.

The directory at a building in Singapore's central business district lists Air Bagan Holdings and the two other blacklisted Singapore-linked firms as operating from a suite on the 24th floor.

But the suite carries no sign and workers in neighbouring offices said they knew nothing about what type of company operates from there, although they have seen people coming and going on weekdays.

An opaque blue sticker covered the door and obscured the interior. Phone and email messages to Pavo Trading were not immediately returned.

"We can't really comment right now," said Zaw Nay Oo, Air Bagan's corporate affairs manager, who works from the airline's sales office in a city shopping plaza.

Government spokespersons in Singapore also could not be immediately reached for comment.

The website for Pavo Trading says it is a sister company of Htoo Group of Companies and was established in 1999.

"The company's main interest lies in export of timber and timber products from Myanmar," says the website.

It says the group's flagship company, Htoo Trading Co Ltd, is a logging firm established 17 years ago.

"Htoo Trading is run by Tay Za," said Debbie Stothard of the Alternative ASEAN Network on Burma, a human rights group.

Bush's executive order cuts off the designated officials and organisations -- and those acting on their behalf -- from the US financial system, the US Treasury Department said.

It means that "any assets these individuals and entities may have that are within US jurisdiction must be frozen, and US persons are prohibited from transacting or doing business with them," the department said.

Singapore is chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and has led regional criticism of the junta's crackdown last month, which killed at least 13 people. More than 3,000 were detained.

Observers say Singapore's tough words against the junta must be matched by economic action given the city-state's extensive links with the regime.

Human rights activists and other experts allege -- without providing direct evidence -- that junta funds have flowed into, or at least through Singapore, a regional financial centre.

Singapore strongly denies allegations that it allows banks based here to keep illicit funds on behalf of Myanmar's secretive generals.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong told CNN television recently that the country does not take "dirty money" and does not condone money laundering.

The city-state was among the regional countries Bush praised Friday for their response to Myanmar's upheaval.
