Well, the general elections(GE)06 in Singapore is over....

And ...people here comes sue ....which means...usually some opposition candidates get's sued, for defamation....but not this time.....

(they shut the guy up...before it even started)

This time around.... they get arrested or rather the way the police put it detained..or in fact, voluntarily coming in for questioning...
from the airport when the opposition candidate James Gomez(JG) was about to fly off.... to Sweden on his work assignment.(which they clearly knew)

(usually for questioning, the police officer either calls or by law is supposed to come over to the residence to give a note, requesting for an appointment)

This detention...., the police call it the PG...which means a police gazette...it is on a police watch list...which in turn, means that when you are screened with your ID, you will be stopped and brought to the police station for questioning.(only for those trying to scram)

Now coming back to the GE...what happened was this JG guy, forgot to hand in his minority cert....S'pore elections people...please understand...many funny rules...

So what happened next...he ask's for the cert which he didn't hand in and the Election dept says they'll look for it...then checks the security camera and finds out he actually put's it back into his bag...

and they say...he didn't hand it in...He goes back checks out, he didn't hand it in....

Say's that's alright...

ALL the while the ruling party people PAP....is on his neck asking what happened and why...

so he gives off a statement...saying sorry for the distress E dept...and to the PAP... saying this is a GE lets move on to important issues...

BUT NO....He is biten, beaten....and dragged on the streets and called a LIAR by our honourable founding far=ther LEE...

the Workers PArty, the oppositions, called a Wayang(Drama) party...by a silly minister without sound evidence......and i wonder how he made his judgement...and makes....(no wonder my wages sucks..,he is the labour minister)

The assasination, goes on .....to say that the whole incident was stage managed by JG...to discredit the E dept...

Now after all this..... on the polling day comes.... the VERY INDEPENDENT ELECTION DEPT to file a police report of criminal intimidation by the JG guy....

I wonder why not earlier, since the incident took place a week earlier or more...

No charges yet...but voluntary questioning and other candidates are being questioned...there is a petition online to return the JG guy's passport back..... since it has been impounded....

but he is not detained .....according to the police...His liveihood is in Sweden (IDEA ....THINK-TANK....a NGO)

I woder, I wonder is this country going to the dogs.....arhhh... what the heck....many countries have gone that way.... WHY NOT SINGAPORE.

THE ruling party gets a good win of 66.6% victory on all the contested sites.
JG's site gets the closest...44%....which he loses...with his team...

That's election...06....
My prettypalce was won hands down with a 76% victory by the ruling party PAP.....

ALL THIS, EVEN WHEN THE PM...said during an election campaign rally...

I HAVE TO FIX THE OPPOSITION AND BUY MY SUPPORTERS....He sure meant it...didn't he...
