Before I left to India....there was a tragedy....A friend David Manimuthu, who committed suicide...A sad thing...most of us, friends do not even know the real reason....
But..now...his expiry has brought friends from 4 continents togather....Australia, Europe, Asia and America ...all have started contributing pictures, and the music they played have been uploaded to create a website for us all from Sembawang....
I live down the road, In Marsiling....but we all, when to nearby schools and just lived around the neighbourhood....
Now this wonderful creation is in existence....THANKS TO DAVID...he will always be remembered.....by everyone who visits the website...
I had a wonderful trip to India...GOA, BOMBAY and MADRAS....
OHHHH what a trip..hectic it was and I had to run to the toilet a million times...The wether was super hot...I never really enjoyed, going back to the country my grandparents came from....
Bombay is a real hustler's town...people will eat you up alive, if you are not alert, that's how i see it.
Madras was so hot, I melted....in the heat, never really had any intention to look around or visit any particular place....there was a heat wave on...
GOA...my favourite place, had me amazed ...most things or almost all was great..except, that I have seen better beaches in Thailand.....
The churches were brilliant....built in the 15 hundreads....and so magnificent...my ...my ...the words I use to describe..might not be adequate ...
It was a real experience walking into the church ...so very majestic....
The temples...I went to and saw...were ....ancient...unbelievable.... people were so into religion, in those days ...
...you can actually go back in time.... to think..how they worshipped...
How important it would have been ...NOT TO OFFEND THE GODS...
to do all the right things or it wouldn't rain.......my....my...even till today they are still like that.....
I enjoyed my trips around in a scooter...I hate or dread to ride..but mustered the courage....the cows crossing the road, while i was riding ....was magic....the horning motorist everywhere was nice in GOA...and irritating in the other states.....
The POVERTY....wow....we are all so lucky...the poverty, I saw was unreal...people are so poor....I witnessed absolute poverty....and could not do anything....
for people were all just aggressive...going about their daily chores of whatever they do....
I called home to inform my family to have some special prayers for my paternal and maternal grandfather and grandmother...who have since expired.
An eye opening trip it was.....NO FUN...anyway this was not a holiday....it was a business trip....
So INDIA...was truly amazing.....
and one last thing,... GOA had a DRY DAY...if you are wondering what's a DRY DAY...they do not sell alcohol...they were having their elections....
Me and a guy from the UK, whom i met at the bar.... had a good laugh...about their silly rules....and how far they carry their rules....
Overall...I wish I had planned better to have a good time....Maybe next time.
